The book club “KRITHI” is to expand member’s personal literary and vocabulary experience by reading and discussing works chosen by the students in a friendly and open atmosphere. The club provides a safe and welcoming environment for teens to develop a lifelong interest in and an appreciation for reading and learning.

Vision

Promote reading, provide a positive form in which students can discuss books and authors, and allow students to engage in discussion that that will help them increase their skills in reasoning, creative and persuasion.

Mission

Bringing together an exclusive group of intelligent, devoted readers to connect and empower through literature and social events giving back to the community through community service.

Objectives

Sitting up a book club encourages students to read more and explore a variety of genres and titles.
It also givesstudents’ chance to swap peer recommendation and reviews.
It also gives an opportunity to contribute in a group discussion.
As a part of book club activity we get the discussion about many books and authors.
It also encourages in students their interest in reading, sharing the story or experience while reading, get skills like explaining, discussing, etc.

2020

Provided awareness speech about the national and state important days.

On February 11thon the behalf of association day organized a ‘SPELL BEE’ competition along with English club.

2019

In 2019, as a part of book club activities - group discussion about English & Malayalam literature in the leisure time in library.

Given small activities like presenting book reviews.

2018

On June 19th Reading day , “KRITHI”had conducted a book review competition of A P J ABDUL KALAM’s “WINGS OF FIRE”’.

As a part of association day the club had conducted an essay competition and a debate session for students.

2017

Conducted public short speech for the celebration of national and state important days.

Organized a seminar about “THE PROBLEM DYSLEXIA IN STUDENTS WHO ARE FACING NOW-A-DAYS& HOW TO OVERCOME FROM THIS PROBLEM”.

2016

Organized a public speech about the national and state important days in between the academic hours.

On Reading day ,June 19th“KRITHI” had organized a discussion for students about the topic on “Important of Reading in our Life”.

2015

Celebrated the important national and state days in the year 2015 as a part of club activities.

On February 10thclub“ KRITHI” had organized a literary quiz competition on the behalf of association day programmes.

On June 19th Reading day celebrated with “KRITHI ”was conducted activities such as • Reading competition. • Quiz competition. • Seminar on Indian English Writers.

2014

In 2014organized an awareness public speech on all national and state important days by different students in between academic hours.

On June 19 as a part of Reading day celebration the book club “KRITHI”had conducted a reading competition and a literary competition.
